Government gathers evidence on ‘energy on prescription’ home retrofits

The government is looking for evidence on how the health of sick residents can be improved by making homes more energy efficient. Charity National Energy Action (NEA) is carrying out the study on behalf of the Department of Energy and Climate Change (DECC) to find out how energy efficiency and other fuel poverty schemes are targeting households with health problems.

Those with evidence are invited to complete an ‘energy on prescription’ survey. Survey results will be used to create a catalogue of ‘energy on prescription’ schemes that DECC will share with respondents. Deadline for survey responses is 3 February.
